Do not use any abrasive cleaners, pads or brushes as this will damaged your saucepan surface. Although dishwasher safe Le Creuset recommends hand washing your saucepan for safest and best results. If you do put any of the saucepans in the dishwasher then once removed recondition the surface with a little corn or vegetable oil. There are also heat resistant glass lids that make it easy to see the food you are cooking and that they are available separately.
